I'm here, I'm here! And I'm totally okay except for the bald patches from pulling my hair out trying different permutations and combinations of partners!  Cheesy

Poor bald Bloo!  Don't worry so much - I'm sure we'll love whatever our partners send us! Smiley

I just want everyone to really enjoy this swap so I'm trying to match up everyone as best I can!  Cheesy  But the partners are now up on the first post and I have 2 minutes to midnight so I'm technically sending them out tonight, right?

Next step, sending pm's...

Yaaaay! We have achieved lift-off!  Grin

Could everyone please do the following to make sure we're all good here:

1.  Check the post on the first page to confirm your partner(s).

2. Check that you have a pm from me with the info of your partner(s) as given on the first page.

3.  If you do not have a pm from me; or, if the partner I have sent you is not the person who is listed as your partner on the first post, please pm me.

4.  Also, if everyone can just double-check for me that this swap is listed in your profile that would be super! thanks!

Swap on!  Cheesy

AWWWW! I missed it.  I just saw this thread today.  Hope there's a round 2, or if someone wants to do a personal swap, PM me.  I'd craft my butt off for just a little of that crazy thick and thin yarn with silly stuff spun into it that I keep seeing all over craftster!

How's everyone doing?

I tried Kool-Aid dyeing some roving (I've done plenty of KA yarn dyeing in the past, but this was my first roving experience) and started spinning it, and it's nothing like I was expecting.  I'll keep going and see how it comes out, but I might be back to the drawing board on this one...

What's your problem with the Kool Aid? I'm not crazy about Kool Aid dyeing for a couple of reasons - the colours are always much duller than I'd prefer and they don't mix well, plus all of my yarn ends up smelling fruity.

I've actually just dyed the roving for my first swap partner (I'm doing two), and it turned out great, if somewhat bright. I used Wilton's food colouring dyes, and boy are they vibrant! It might be too bright, but we'll see. I'd def. recommend Wilton's to anyone else who is having Kool Aid trauma.

It's definitely the dullness of the colors - they're quite pastel in the yarn (rather than how bright they were in the roving).  I have some Wilton's, which I will play with, but I'm also going to New York Sheep & Wool (aka Rhinebeck) this weeked, so I'll see what I find there as far as dyed rovings and acid dyes, too.

How's everyone doing?
I am still in the brainstorming phase... pulling out materials, going through books, getting ideas.  But this weekend I'm holding open for crafting, because I like long uninterrupted stretches of crafting time.  Smiley

I hope that everyone has been chatting with your partners... let me know via pm if you haven't heard from your partner yet.
