I have painted shot glasses with DecoArt glass paint (almost as cheap as acrylic paint!) with things like Jack Skellington and the Chevy symbol, coffee mugs with I (heart) you mom and I (heart) you dad) with cocoa in them, a drawing of hobby (airplane for my dad)...

I've found that the items for men have to be incredibly useful or sentimental/character/hobby - related to truly be enjoyed.

somewhere, can't find now I had a knitting pattern for an ice scrapper mitt, you know those mitts that keep your hands warm when you scrape the windows, I did that one year for the men

I sewed corn heat therapy bags for all of the men I know, they're always pulling muscles playing sports and doing yard work.  You can Google "corn bag" and find some good tutorials.  I also bought some inexpensive beer mugs and will be filling them with cookies and adding a "Just add milk" tag - all the guys I know love homemade cookies and baked goods.

I will be making some hankies (snot rags). Men are always full of boogers Smiley and alot of older men carry them too. I will be making some with initials on them to personalize them.  Tongue
