Flying Betty

I decided I needed one of the pants-from-tshirt, so I did. Except that I didn't feel like sewing so I made the whole thing using iron on hem tape. We'll see how well they hold up. I don't plan to wear them outseide of the house since the style is not especially flattering on me, especially the way the pants turned out.

So apparently if your shirt has contrasting sleeves then when you cut them off you get a nice arrow pointing to your crotch effect. If you then use the sleeves as a waistband you now get the underpants on the outside look so popular with superheroes.

And now for Act II:

Take one basic Old Navy shirt comme ca: http://www.oldnavy.com/Asset_Archive/ONWeb/Assets/Product/270/270129/big/on270129-17vliv01.jpg
Make sure shirt is two sizes too big for best effect.
Attack with scissors, thread, and iron on tape since I don't trust my hand sewing to actually hold.

Voila!

I have some ribbon I may use to outline the wrap seam if I can ever find it again. So probably not.

Your new BLUE top is especially pretty! Just LOVE the neckline design. How did you turn a big tee into this pretty design?  Smiley
