So I had received this lovely "Death" tarot in the Ongoing ATC Swap from alteredmommy...

And I was inspired to collect the whole major arcana in ATC form, so I could have a nice mini-tarot collection!

I planned to use private swaps (tedious), but tigercub_wabbit suggested a REAL LIVE TAROT ATC SWAP! (Yep, that's right).

Anyone interested?

i haven't done ATC swaps, but that's an awesome idea!

i once had this really elaborate plan to create an entire deck, all 8.5"x11" and super detailed. i think i finished 3!

I've had that exact same plan for years now, crafty_dame: "Someday, I'll make my own Tarot deck!"  Thus far, I've made one...the Judgement card...for an ATC swap Cheesy

I might be interested.  Any ideas yet as to set-up and timing?

Ooooh, sounds like fun. Would everyone end up with a complet deck at the end of the swap? That sounds like alot of ATC's.

Set up is the tricky part... the major arcana has 22 cards... but would it be too much to end up receiving/sending all of them? (For that matter, would it be silly to NOT do all of them?)

One option would be to sign up for as many as you want to do (perhaps in groupings of sending 2 to each partner), so you can make as many or as few as you want. And your partner can pick which ones they want to make off a list of which ones you need. (Would that make sense?)

As for timing... well for me, ATCs fit in anywhere...

And crafty_dame: 8 1/2 x 11'' really detailed tarot! I'm impressed that you even finished 3! (Are they posted on here anywhere? That sounds interesting)

it might be handy to have each participant claim a card that they want to make...say i sign up...i want to make everyone a death card....this would keep the participants below the 25 limit...you only need 22 people for the 22 cards...then everyone gets a whole deck...

i dont think it would be too terribly hard to mass produce one card for each person?  i dont know. what do you all think?

I like Taloola's idea- seems easier to mass-produce a single card... but what if more than one person want to make the same card (might be a funny looking deck- 3 deaths, 5 moons, 2 suns and no judgement  Cheesy
(personally, I would love to also have a minor arcana set, but I see why it would be difficult. maybe personal swaps.)

Hm... well maybe we could keep it to signing up for what you'd like, but on a more individual level, so some people can mass produce, but we wouldn't have the trouble of everyone making the same cards

(Personally, I can't even mass produce, because I don't always draw my ATCs, and my paper and epemera wouldn't always last through 22 cards..)
