I'm in love with vinyl for the walls. You can buy it pretty cheap online and it makes a room. If you don't have a Cricut Expression, you can go to many scrapbook stores and uses their machine and cartridges for a very low cost. I have a retro square art pieces in my living room on a giant wall and I redid our tiny bath as a "bird" bath as we have a pedestal sink in there. Too much fun! Get creative and go for it!

You can upholster your walls with fabric. I know it sounds strange- but it looks great. I'd recommend a damask or a silk for fancy spaces- or a microsuede for that modern look.

I just moved to an adorable apartment but can't (and don't really wanna) paint, so I starched awesome fabric to my walls like this: http://www.mattandshari.com/decorating-ideas/starching-fabric-to-walls-new.html and it worked out SO WELL[/size]!!!!

Many thanks for sharing.

White walls will need more maintenance to keep them clean all the time. Is there any way to keep them clean without too much efforts.
