I used the edges of peanut butter containers, wrapped in batting.  Says I don't have enough posts to post a picture  Cry  but my bracelets are cool, so when I do, I will post.  Until then, I will make more.

My craft supply philosophy I stole from a line from AVP. ''I'd rather have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.'' But, they were talking about a condom. Tongue

hi guys.

thanks everyone for the warm comments.

you can use any form of plastic or card for your base to wrap, it really doesnt matter. plastic would actually work better in most cases, because its more sturdy and thick. dime stores are great places to check for cheap-as-chips ribbon, and bamfknitter, i cant wait to see them!

I bought tons of Pringles cans today (our Dollar store carries them!!), put the chips in bags, and am attempting it with Pringles, having run out of plastic lids.

I even taught the eleven year old that I babysit for how to make them, so now she has a collection.  Along with the scarves I taught her how to knit, she's the most stylish kid in her middle school!

That is neat, when I was middle school all I did for one grade, near the end of the year, taking a crochet hook and just making chains, people would ask what are you making, and I just be like chains, that was all I could do, I was so happy.
