I just finished this last nite. It's from hotpatterns.com.  Its a knock off of a blouse that I saw online.

Excuse the tp in the background.  I shot this using my camerphone in my bathroom.

I do intend on tackling the duro dresss next.  Cool

Gosh you all are getting so creative.  I love this top, great job!!! I love red and black together and I think that this style is very flattering for big girls and I like the bell sleeve.  Woohoo

Ooohh!!!  THAT'S NICE!!  I don't always like those tops, but yours came out looking EXTREMELY ATTRACTIVE on you.

Sometimes I have seen these tops appear that there is too much of the "edging" (black part on your top).  And that looks very unflattering.  Also, maybe due to my being very broad shouldered and large-chested, I believe that I have tried this style of top on me and it really ADDED bigness to my appearance and was incredibly UNFLATTERING!  (Same with most other empire-waists that I've tried.)

Anyway . . . sorry to ramble . . . that top just looks SO DAMN SEXY and good on you!!  I LOVE IT!  And I'm very happy for you.  (Nothing worse than putting alot of time, energy, and money into something that one ends up hating.   Angry)

I have tried unsuccessfully to make the duro dress a few times, something funky always happens.  That was part of the reason why I wanted to try this top (to make sure I can do one thing right).  I have had very good success with hotpatterns.  I bought their duro dress and a wrap dress today.  Those will be my next two projects.

I love it.  The color choices are great and it looks fabulous on you.  I have tried to get the duro dress pattern and it is always sold out.  I've wondered about hotpatterns but never bought due mainly to the price (I'm a sucker for Joann's 1.99 pattern sales).  I may have to reconsider.

That turned out really well.  You did a great job.  Can't wait to see the dress.

Wow, great top!!! What pattern did you use from hotpatterns.com? I'm pretty heavy-chested and this would flatter the girls quite well. Plus, I'm going to a wedding soon and this would look great with a pair of black dress pants.
