marmota-b: I really like the haystick trio and the leaning power line. (I'm a sucker for things that are sort of ironic, plus that photo is particularly clear and bright.)

iheartmonsters: I adore your photos. Every street scene is great (that lighting!) and the barn is right on. Looks like you had to pan and yet the composition is perfect.

Thank you! I think those two are my favourite, too. Smiley

Here are some I took today when I was at Taughannock Falls State Park Ulysses, NY (outside of Ithaca, NY). I live about 1 hr and a half away, and have to admit I am going to make this a recurring summer/fall trip. It is gorgeous and there are over 5 other state parks with in 10-30 minutes of this state park.

View from one of the picnic areas seeing I believe Cayuga Lake and the seagull at the bottom was eyeing us when we arrived with our food.

Channel off the lake:

Cayuga Lake:

Broken picnic dock:

Bridge to walk up to the falls:

I want to get his one as a wall mural:

Creekbed that you can walk all the way 3/4 mile to the falls (instead of the trails). You can even walk it when the water is flowing. It was knee high in some areas.

Along creekbed:

Finally the Falls:

I hope no one minds the double posts. I love the talent of everyone and wanted to post some that I took today.

We stopped at this Children's garden before going home to see the huge sand/stone turtle.

Gaia the turtle: (It was hard to get her to fit in the frame)

Sammy the salemander:

Troll hut (guards the bridge): (cement and straw)

Finally got around to scanning some of my photographs from the past few months!... (sorry for posting SO MANY!!)

None have been edited at all - odd effects are mainly through long exposure times and double-exposures. I love 'real' photography! Film and everything!! Im like a little kid at Christmas waiting to get them back from being developed!

... just had to end on this smiley little chap!

Here's some of my recent photos  Grin None of them are edited apart from a little cropping on a couple

Frog! He's a 'wild' frog, if you will, that's settled in my grandma's beautiful water garden. There's three in there right now. He's the smallest, & the one my mom almost got with the lawn mower one day, but rescued & dumped in the pond instead. As you can see, he's pretty okay with you getting close to him haha.
