bigfatroses: I love the picture of your husband. It should work very nice as a stencil!

addicted2knitting: You really got something going on in the picture with the tree hanging down in the water.

Here is two picture I took a few days ago on a dragonfly and a larvashell from the same insect.

bigfatroses, you are off to a great start.  I love the cardinal pic.

alvan, that is the greatest picture of a dragonfly that I have ever seen.  How in the world did you get close enough to get such a great shot?

Thanks! He was a very patience for being a dragonfly and allowed me to get very close (approximately 1 meter). And of course my micro lens helped a lot to Wink

Love the dragonfly!!!!  I took a dragonfly pic this past week, but it didn't come out nearly as nice as yours.
Fascinating little buggers, aren't they?  This particular picture was taken for a swap project for RondaS.

I'm hoping to get back out to the Gardens this weekend and take more pictures- hopefully I'll catch the crane that was out there last week. Here's a not too great shot of it:

hotbettie : really nice makeup and the pictures to, especially the colors are very nice in combination.

bigfatroses: Nice dragonfly picture, the are really nice I like when they look at you and turn there head as if the are watching me as much as I them.

cynlynn : The picture of you son is hilarious and a great photo.

Here is another dragonfly (but not a real one since this specimen can fold in the wings along the body)
