Yeah, thats pretty much why I don't go in. There are a few you are still allowed to romp around in, those are the ones I was referring to lol. The jail is closed off, but the others I posted are being renovated, and I'm SO happy!

Ah, but exploring abandoned buildings is so much FUN. Granted most of the ones I end up exploring aren't going to get me in trouble with the law since they're just old abandoned homesteads with no one around for miles and miles, but still, who can resist the lure of the old and falling apart?

Era Vera, I don't know how much of a problem they would be in your area, but in Missouri, our old cabins in the woods are usually loaded with termites, and while the wood may appear solid on the outside, it might be totally rotten and structurally compromised on the inside. If you are going into old buildings in the middle of nowhere to take pictures, please take along a buddy, and also make sure at least one other person knows where you will be.

I agree that old places are fascinating, but please be safe.  Smiley

Oh of course, we're always pretty safe about it. The homesteads I'm talking about are over in eastern Washinton, which is really dry, so there's no rot, and I don't think there's a lot of termites over there. Also, my stepdad is really into going to these places, so most of them are sort of already proved to be safe since we've been exploring them for years and years. But that's good advice.

I'm not sure if these will work or not, but lets see...Keep in mind I am NO professional and I have a crap-tastic camera lol.

I love taking photos around town. There are so many beautiful, old, abandoned buildings. I'm too chicken to go in them as of yet, but I'm working up the courage!

I think you did very well for having a crap-tastic cam. lol. You have some nice compositions and I like how you've filled your frame.  Smiley

What city/town are you in that has so many rad buildings?
