Some great pics, Kara! But what really caught my attention was the description under the squirrel photo:

"He runs right up your leg & eats nuts from you"

I got a COMPLETELY different picture in my head!

ROFL hahahahahahha that's perfect. And totally something I would think if I read it.

And in the interest of people liking the squirrel, here's a few more of 'em.

Those are all when he was a baby [probably 4-5 weeks]. I don't have any more recent, sadly.

That squirrel is sweet! Almost makes me want to like squirrels again (after years of them living in our loft, I can't stand the sight of the little blighters any more!).

And mollyxmayhem, I've seen that first picture done plenty of times but your version's really striking. Smiley

I took my camera down a local park on a good day and took a couple (about 250) pictures. Some of the best are below. Still not as good as I'd like to be, but I'm improving!

There's larger versions at http://www.flickr.com/photos/terpsikhore/sets/72157605970594462/ if anyone fancies taking a gander. Smiley

You all take such great pictures, that squirrel is the cutest thing ever. I love snapping photo's (most of them are crappy) but if I'm patient enough something good will get captured.

I'd never seen a double rainbow before so I was so happy that I'd taken to keeping my camera with me at all times. I was having a pretty bad birthday until my mom and some friends took me out to eat and lo and behold, there were these gorgeous  rainbows! It made the whole day better.

I live in MD but this picture was taken before I left school In McKeesport, PA. I was just walking along in the grass, looking for some interesting plants to photograph when I stumbled over this giant onion. I have no idea where it came from but it was growing until I accidentally uprooted it. Sorry Mr. Onion.

This is actually a bad picture. No tripod and no light make bad pics. My friends and I were bored and went downtown in the middle of the night. All those lights came from some type of rally they were having. We're standing in front of the capitol looking at the monument.

I love the wings in this picture. I found him in the car, poor little guy. He probably burned alive, we've been having some pretty hot weather lately.

My little birdies. A starling (i think) decided to put her nest in an empty tomato trough that we had in our back yard. My father was working outside and all we heard were these terrible shrieking cries of these little guys. We finally got out of the way so mama could bring the babies some food. You can clearly see four of them in this pic but I think there were six or seven in the nest.

Unfortunately *cough* someone *cough* turned the iso on high instead of auto so they're a little fuzzy. Sadly the little ones dissapeared about a week later.
I think their mother moved them to higher ground because the week they vanished it was raining really bad and the trough was flooding *sniff*.

Another one of the birds.

Thanks for looking!
