Hmmm, I'm just trying to decide whether I can, in all conscience, join up for this one, as I am going to be away for a bit.

hmm, will we be required to send first class?  It might work that way.

i would really love to do this swap...decisions, decisions... Huh

As the swap may well have a sendout date towards the end of 15 December, I'm seriously considering making that leg of it a 3-week one, so that we can all overeat, fight with the family and maybe even go to church without fretting about the journal entry as well - also the post is overloaded at that time of year anyway.  Does this help with your travel plans, Esmeralda?

I've also found that I will have to go to France just before Christmas, for the most amazing reason - an old friend is being made a bishop!!!

Hee, hee!  Ah, the joys of Christmas!  Although, if you push it back a week, then it actually lands on Christmas day!

Unfortunately, Steven, my travel issues come at the beginning of the swap - I am in the US for work 28th through 5th, then on holiday (although we may not actually be going anywhere exciting!) 8th - 14th.  I think that provided my first 'book' gets to me before the 28th, I should be fine, and I can always do some on the plane, given that I can't take any knitting or sewing needles with me - argh!!

Congratulations to your friend!  That is wonderful news!

Okay folks, journals should have been sent by now. I only have messages from half of you so I need everyone else to confirm to me that they've sent. I'll put a list up today on the 1st page of who's sent and received. Please also let me know when you receive your journal. Smiley

Happy journalling!

Blank pages can be scary - but there are loads of places to look on the Net for inspiration - google "Altered Books" or "Journals" and you will find tons of things to look at.  No need to copy someone else's work, but you can take an idea from one page, motif from another, colour scheme from a third - you get the picture!

Fortunately pinkangel has a few hints inside her journal about what she'd like, and I've had fun - finished today.
