Well, it took me long enough to post my pictures...but here I am as Toadette!!! I got a lot of comments on my costume and was very surprised to find that people actually knew who I was...(even though they didnt know the name they said...OOh your the girl toad from super mario brothers.....and so on..)

Luigi's costume was never made (except hat) because of the lack of overalls for tall skinny guys. Oh well he still had fun.

And here is my Mario as well...

This year I went as Elastigirl from The Incredibles ^^
I made everything from the mask to the boots. It was a ton of fun to wear!

My pic is just the top part, but hopefully you get the idea. There was not a whole lot of sewing ability that went into this one, but it was fun nonetheless. The shirt was made of an old sarong that I batiked, vest from a thrift store sweater, and hand beaded necklaces.

Next year I am definitely going to step it up! =)

Enjoy!

BTW - It is Janis Joplin

I work as an Internet Content Manager (*cough*fancy name for webmaster*cough*) so I went as a Web Goddess, lol!

Which basically means wearing a toga-looking dress.  Wink  But I made it from scratch w/o a pattern, and I was really happy with how it came out!

VERY crappy pictures, but my boyfriend and I were Atreyu and the Childlike Empress from the Neverending Story:

And here's just my makeup compared the the real Childlike Empress:

I was trying to look childlike and...uh...empress-ive?  Smiley

I wish I had a better picture of the auryn that Josh was wearing because it was sweet. I made it out of clay and then spraypainted it with this gold-colored metallic spraypaint.  I also fashioned myself that head thing out of fake pearls. Everything else was either a cut-up t-shirt of came from the thrift store.
