Crafty get togethers in Spokane?

Hey guys! Anyone near Fairchild or around Spokane who'd like to get together for craft projects or something? I've become very restless, and I dont know many people here still. My husband is deployed to Iraq till April and I just need to get away and meet some people and take my mind off things. Anyone want to meet up? =) Celeste

I make purses and bags, and embroider alot. Im working on a quilt right now to send to the hubby, but I suck at binding! lol. I made one the first week he was gone, and just could not bind it for the life of me, so I just started sewing yarn around the edges (sad, I know). I've been trying to crochet more, bc its fun and def a stress relief for me. But, I'm game to try anything. Have sewing machine.. will travel lol

Well Ive never quilted before besides crazy quilted bags where binding wasnt necesary. I love to embroidery tho.  I took a few months worth of classes on Brazilian embroidery too if youve ever heard of that, which is pretty neato-o. I also knit and do beadwork. You know what I always wanted to do that might combine our "talents" I always wanted to get one of those fabric scroll wall hangings, either tattooed japanese women or something by luis royo

interface the back of them and embroidery like crazy! All types of metalics,rayon,beads, Whatever! and then make a quilted border and turn it into an awesome wallhaning or bedspread. If I could get a partner on that I'd be in heaven.
