I know a lot of vintage thriftsters like myself often find adorable solid color flats, that need a little work.. so I thought why not make shoe clips like the one below.. they are pretty much little appliques (ribbon flowers, bows, buttons, etc.) glued on a bobby pin..

The picture should be up now. Thanks.

Those shoe clips are nice. I have some real shoe clips that are shaped like bows. I bought them at the Good will but I use them on my hair. Anyways, I dont get haow you made the shoe clips, Did you spray paint them?

i just bought some stuff to make some shoe clips, though, since i've never made them before, it'll kinda be an experiment, thought i did get clip on earring thingys to use, the way you used the bobby pins--i hadn't even thought of using those! great idea.

That's really cool!!! i think i might cheat and use earrings... and maybe the post kind would work too, the kind that has a back on it that stays on, if you know what i mean.

Smiley Thanks for nice comments.. Yeah those clip on earring backs work really well, but I was at home and too lazy to go out and buy some, so I made do with what I had- bobby pins.

No I didn't spray paint them or anything. I just took regular ribbon, doubled it up, glued it together, and sewed a bow in the middle.. and then glued it to a bobby pin.. very easy. Smiley
