I love seeing what people are crafting for COSTUMES-- but there's not a post for crafty halloween decorations around the house.

and most importantly not that many pictures.

I'll start off the thread with two "5 minute/ 5 dollar" wreaths I whipped up last night.

The base is the grapevine wreaths that were on sale at Micheals last week for a few dollars , and selections from the dollar bin of ribbons, a silk leaves (which orange paint came off on my hands something fierce.)  The wooden insert is hand painted/ hand-stamped -- I used a cabinet sample chip that you can pick up at Home depot.

ANY one else want to SHARE their Halloween House Decorations?!?!

Finally on the Wist Bandwagon:  http://wists.com/OopsCreations

I have loads of good quality CIGAR BOXES available for trade.  Great for purses, shrines, jewelry boxes.  PM for Pics.

I mostly stick to decorating the mantel for Halloween or Christmas now, I don't have room for a xmas tree so  the mantel is just the right amount of space for me to be creative but not get overwhelmed with work or sick of the holiday before it even gets there.
here is this years Halloween mantel (2 pics collaged toghether to fit in the whole thing)

I don't do the whole house but I like a little something festive. I sort of do a mixture of harvest theme+spooky, for the natural and supernatural elements of it.
I've added some glow in the dark rubber snakes after I took that photo.
here's some closeups, one of my new little gargoyle

and some cool skeleton candles , these black candleholders were plain and  I added the silver paint and red beady eyes

and a berry wreath with bats and ghosties in it, this hangs above the mantel (I painted the bats and ghosts)

and here are some older halloween decorating projects I have done

Here are some pumpkins I knitted for our decorations. This is also posted in the knitting section so please look there if you would like the pattern!

The ghostly white pumpkin was a special request by my husband!

Here are some little mini-pumpkins I painted to decorate my computer at work and for some co-workers 2 years ago. We all use yahoo instant messenger to communicate in the office so I made these each after a yahoo emoticon for each person who used that emoticon the most.

The boy & I are decorating our house to look like a biohazard lab that had an "accident." Check out the thread I started on it. I'll try and post as many pictures as possible during the crafting.

Cotton wool and spraypaint make good cobwebs. FYI.

Great job, yall!

I posted these a while back, but only one person commented, so here's a couple of my favorites.

If anyone would like to see the original post which has lots of other pics on how I decorated last Halloween, here's the link. Warning, adult material in there...

Your decorations look great! I really like how the mantel turned out with the scarf.

FerretNose, I'm jealous of your doll.  She is ever so cool, and the perfect Halloween decoration. Smiley Did you make her little mourning dress?

FerretNose, that is pretty awesome decor! (I did see it the first time, but for some reason didn't comment... hm... maybe just because it was April).
I just adore the scary blue boy! (and the doll is pretty damn creepy)
