My first post!  I was really happy with the stitched gifts I gave this year. Here is a hand towel with the Mermaid.  I finished it with a crocheted lace edge using perl cotton.

Very nice! I LOVE the mermaid and the crochet edging.  Was it hard to do (crochet)? That is the last of the fiber arts/hobbies I have left to delve in...What kind of tea towels are they that you could crochet on?

No. Crocheting is not hard and edging something with crochet is simple. I used cotton towels from Walmart.  They are thicker than dish towels but not as thick as terry cloth.

I love how that turned out.  Too chicken to try to crochet on the hem, tho.  I've barely learned how to do that too!  LOL
