I realize that these pictures are a little odd and confusing, but it was- yet again- one of those bad face days Wink
Anyway, this is a very simple dress/tunic thing I made. The stripes are from a really crazy dress, but the rest is just fabric I had.
It came out o.k. I guess. I am not sure if I should make it slimmer or not. What do you think?
 On to the pictures.

So, should I slim it down or not?

I think it's perfect just the way it is.  It's always nice to have something that's a little looser than it needs to be, and this way you can wear it with jeans without having belt loops stick out and make the fabric look puckery.  You know what I mean?  Maybe I'm the only one that's concerned about that sort of thing.
But anyway it's totally cute, and an excellent use of stripes in a non-overwhelming way.  Thumbs up.

Good point! It is also nice to have something looser to wear on those 'bubbly' days  Roll Eyes
Thank you both for the feedback Smiley

I'll go against the popular opinion here. I think you have the figure for a slimmer dress in the tummy area. You should show it off. I'd slim it a little from underbust to waist, sort-a like an hour glass, but not so it's too tight. Cheesy

That written, your new dress is pretty, just like the other ones you've shown here in the past. Did you ever figure out what to do with the little red heart fabric?

I did try to make something and I am having a very frustrating time with it  Undecided I decided to put down my sewing for a while and take a de-stressing break  Cheesy

I should slim it, but that is just personal. I just don't like loose things. I always well a bit fat in it. But I think you should listen to yourself, what do you wear normally and does this fit perfect? there is no opinion against that.

I think I will probably make it slimmer. I'll probably feel more comfortable... Besides, I'm adding pockets and I think it will look best slim with pockets. This all makes sense to me Roll Eyes
