I LOVE this!!!! Practical meets fetish. Brilliant.

I had a bash at knitting the pattern up, but my mask doesn't look quite the right shape.  Am I going wrong?

yay kinkyknit! that's pretty cute. (awesome glasses, too!)

i can think of two reasons your mask might be a slightly different shape: different gauge, and different straps.

i think i attached the bottom of my straps further down the side edge, and made them a little tighter than yours. (adjusting the straps allows quite a range of fittings!) when i wear my masks, i like to rotate the straps so the chin is tighter than the nose, too.

So I saw many a responce going "Hey! You could be a ninja! Or a doctor!" Have none of you people heard of http://www.drmcninja.com/?!

That said - OMG I love it. Have been considering going the ninja route this halloween (I've been a pirate a couple years in a row now, getting boring) and this should be PERFECT.

I also really like the political angle, I'd like to see you expand on that a bit!

Wowser! That's amazing! I should totally make one of those! I'm in college and quarantined with the mumps right now (go figure that one...) and have to wear a mask every time I go to the door or anything. This would be soooo much more awesome than the regular old white ones.  Grin

oooooh I hope this turns into a panta-like thread. I love lurking and seeing dozens of knitters interpretations of a pattern.
