okay, so I took a trip into town today for some retail therapy, (much needed as had been doing college work since 9AM til 3PM then carried on when I got home!  Sad ) so anyway.. I went into the local cheap crud shop, only to find this kind of.. thin plastic table cloth with a gorgeous print on it:

it was only 99p and it's HUGE! but now I don't know what to do with it... I'm going to cut some of it up to stick in one of my sketchbooks for college, but there'll be a whole load left and I just don't know what to do with it.. it'd make an awesome top or some kind of clothing thing, but it's too thin and only cheap so can't imagine it lasting or being particularly waterproof etc!

Any idea = much appreciated  Grin

Hmmm what about book covers for other books, or even a tampon/pad holder or box cover.

You could make a shower cap out of part of it.  Cut out a circle larg enough to go around your head (with room to spare) and sew down thin elastic a couple of inches inside the circle.  Trim the outside with lace.

You could also use it to make a bucket liner for a tote.  Something like this:  http://www.sewbaby.com/big/patterns15_/bgw-1.html

Some clear packing tape, coordinated duct tape, and you could have a very cool, WATERPROOF purse or tote:

aww cheers everyone for your fab ideas, I might try and make the tote but waterproof it with duct tape or something similar.

There'll be plenty left over too so will have a shot at some of the other ideas too. thanx sooo much!  Grin  Grin Lou xx
