What a great idea, it's really cute, if I make another one I'll try frogs!

I love your color choices, too. Great job!

Thanks also for posting the instructions for the frog modification. I am making one of these for a friend's soon-to-be-born son, but the original sock monkey color scheme doesn't work with her nursery colors. I made my version in pale green, deep purple, and hunter green, so your frogs will be the final touch!  Grin

Here's my work in progress album; it looks more Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles than spring froggy, though.

I'll post the final pics when I have finished the frog faces. Smiley

Here's my final blanket and beanie! I crocheted white circles with two rounds each and cut out smaller black felt circles for the eyes. The mouths were black felt as well. The purple and pale green areas were made with a soft, textured yarn that looks like loopy terry cloth when made up (TLC Baby Amore'?). The olive drab portions were Red Heart Saver acrylic worsted.

I worked on it for a few hours Saturday night, most of Sunday, and a couple of hours tonight (finishing up the frog faces). Just in time, too--my friend went to the hospital tonight to be induced!

I can't seem to find the sock monkey blanket to figure out the first four rows.  Can you tell me the information or lead me to it?

Thanks!
