Ok, this is my attempt to make a tutorial. Basically it's a Jordy bag that I made in to a small handbag. Since my english is'nt the best I used Jordy's totorial to help me make mine.

Thanks Jordy, hope you don't mind...
Here's the original link http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=7866.0

So here goes:

1) This is the pattern for the small handbag.

2) Cut your fabric. You'll need outer fabric, lining fabric, interfacing and two straps, mine was 10 x 32 cm or 4" x 12". If you want, some velcro to close the bag.

3) Press your straps and stitch both sides.

4) Fold your outer fabric. Pin and stitch together the two sides. Good sides should be facing each other.

5) Pinch together the corners of the fabric and stitch both sides.

6) For the lining, fold and stitch together two sides. Cut the bottom to make a big opening. Make sure it's inside out, good sides facing each other. If you're using velcro, add here.

7) Lay the straps inside the inside-out outer fabric.

8 ) Lay the lining inside the outer fabric, match up the tops and pin. Make sure the good sides are facing each other.

9) Stitch all the way around.

10) Pull the entire bag inside out.

11) For the bottom of the lining you cut up earlier, fold, pin and stitch together.

12) Pinch the corners as you did on the outer fabric, and stitch together.

13) Now for the last step. Stitch all the way around the top of the bag.

14) Voilá! You're done!!

Good Luck! //Klinga

Uuuuu Very nice!
I hate dial up! It took so long for the last picture to load and figure out what in heavens you were doing  hehe

Hmm, a question though. Will this same technique apply if I want to make a bag but with the top longer than the bottom. As in yours, but "upside down"Huh  Just alter the pattern a bit?

Perhaps?

I have a purse like that but I bought it.  I love it!  Mine has a zipper and only one strap.  Let me know if you want to see it for ideas.
