GEEK on so many levels

I have a Ashford Kit Kraft spinning wheel.  I want to spin bulky yarns and just larger amounts of yarn, so I'm thinking of getting a Jumbo Flyer that they sell.
My question is would it work with my wheel?  Ashford doesn't produce the Kit Kraft any more, so I don't know if it would fit.

Thanks,
-Anne

I have one for my Traditional that I got last year. Quickly searching I couldn't find what the Kit Kraft looks like.  What type of wheel is it?

I got the whole Jumbo kit package, because my Trad is a bit older and I wasn't sure if the parts would be interchangable with the flyer assembly I already had (it is, actually). On my Jumbo flyer the mother of all is exactly one foot long. The bracket underneath that bolts to the frame of the wheel is 6 inches long. It has two slots that allow to to bolt down with a gap of 2 inches to 5 1/2 inches.

My camera's batteries just died otherwise I'd have an illustration to show you what I mean.

The Kit Kraft looks a lot like the Traditional,so I think it is just an older version.  I just measured the Wheel diameter and orifice height and they are the same as on the Traditional.
Here's a picture of mine:

Thanks for helping

I'd e-mail Ashford and ask them before purchasing it.  I just bought a older model Elizabeth this past week, and was wondering the same thing about the hi-speed kit they sell now.  I e-mailed them, and they responded about 3 days later verifying that it will work.  Here's their helpline address: helpline@ashford.co.nz

By the looks of things I think it will suit just fine, but second Atla's suggestion to 'phone first' !

Hey, is that a sexy pink rubber drive band I see on your wheel there? Nice!

My aunt sent it to me when she gave me the wheel.  I figured it looked so much cooler than the other one  Cheesy

I have emailed Ashford, but haven't gotten a reply yet (maybe I should check my Junk folder)

Edit: Guess I should pay more attention to my mail!  I found it, and it turns out I've had it since Monday.  Roll Eyes  They said it should work, now I just have to save up some money.

I have THAT wheel. It is the older model traditonal that is pre 1980. I have a jumbo flyer on mine. The maidens(I think they are called) don't match that hold up the bobbin though cause it only came with the one.
