Brilliant idea...and a great way to recycle!  I have a little flower punch that I've been neglecting!  It would be perfect for making flower sequins Cheesy

I'd love to see them when they are finished. Wink

I just get an idea in my head and go with it!Like the plastic bottle-beads!I try all kinds of stuff and if it don't work I have still learn' t something from it!I didn't work with THAT!!!!
But try it with something different!I have no time 4 brain training stuff or keeping my mind active at all do, all I do is mess! And if it's recyclable I feel so good!
1. I've save something from the bin/tip
2.I sometimes end up with a new thing
3.I feel so good!I could walk on air!
4. I have learn't to deal with failure (a small thing I have really but what do I care no-one or any animal was hurt while doing this stunt!!!)
5. I will be better next time!(If it includes fire/heat watch out 4 my eyebrows!!!)

This is an amazing way to use all the scrappy little bits of plastic bottles that I have been chucking out.  I use pretty much every bit of it (or so I thought)  If you scroll down through my gallery you will see some flowers that i made from old plastic bottles. Ignore the other stuff in there. I am a craftaholic  :-)

I'm thinking two sheets of plastic could be glued to tinfoil to get shine (one either side of the foil). Though it might make rather thick sequins, and might not fit in the hole punch...

I think it wouldn't work. Even the just a little bit thicker upper part of the bottle is already too thick for my puncher. Moreover, even if it would work, I think the foil would detach easily.
But in proper light even these simple sequins create nice shine... especially when you have many of them.

You could try mylar, it comes in lots of shiny foil colors and I believe you can get it in different thicknesses.

I love this & will be saving/hole-punching any green soda bottles from here on out. I think the light green would shimmer well too, maybe even with regular clear. Love the recycling aspect. And hand-punched sequins? So couture.  Wink

This is a really clever idea I've never seen done before. I love reusing and recycling! Thanks!
