Yours looks so cute! And yet, mine was just ridiculous...I don't know if the shirt I used was too short or too small to begin with, or if my hips are just too big for this kind of thing, but the sides where the sleeves were was WAY too short. So then I did the same thing to another shirt and put it on sideways(underneath the first shirt-skirt), with the sleeve part in the front and the front part on the side to cover up where the first shirt-skirt was too short, and that just made me look like an idiot. And then I took it off and flung it into the closet. So now I'm down two shirts, but I guess I have a head start on my braided rug though...

Anyway, nice job on yours...

ok, question...
so when you cut up the 'armpits' does that mean you have big slits up the side of your skirt?

I think you did a wonderful job!  You should be very proud of your first project, because it looks pro!  My 17 year old daughter and I love doing stuff like this, and everyone here is such an inspiration!  I have always tried to teach her that she should look at things not as they necessarily are, but as they could be.  There is no end to how creative you can get when you put your mind to it.  Keep up the good work!

Ooooooh! I'm so excited! I had a uber big Depeche Mode (my favorite band of all time)  shirt and the print was so big I couldn't take it in on the sides or I'd lose Martin's face! Its been sitting on top of my dresser for months now while I brainstormed on what to do with it --- now I have a super cool skirt to wear out tonight!~Thanks~!
