for that second purse (one w/ the quilted interior) what pattern did you use (or how did you go about constructing your pattern)....that style bag is very similar to one I'm trying to make, just with a more ji jane edge to it though...

Ah, so that's what it's called.

I found some links.

Here's a picture of mine

If anyone's interested in getting one lemme know. We could start a huge global store where we buy stuff for each other. It's really hard to find crafting materials here in Singapore.

Something I forgot to say about the flowers:
Do not try to make them using the flower motif cards. Those don't work and are a complete waste of money.

The clasp for the change purse I bought from a craft store here, but it's very expensive (to me), SIN$15 which is about USD9.

The square pouch, I haven't really mastered.... That's why if you look closely, you'll find that the two sides are not equal and also, the flower hides a flaw where the side of the pouch curves inwards. I think that the method that I used is wrong.

I'm experimenting with another method of making this pouch... a more foolproof one and I will post a tutorial once I have it. As soon as I have it. Smiley

Thanks y'all for your nice comments.

I find it so discouraging because I can never get any of the materials that I want for my crafts.

I really like all of your purses/clutches.

I do have a question though...
How was working with the clasp handle for the top clutch?  I've seen them around at stores like Joanna's, but I'm a little worried about buying one and then not being able to actually use it...

Working with the top clasp:
He he. Actually someone else did it for me. But watching her do it, I gathered that the important thing is to make sure that the centre of the bag matches the centre of the clasp. Just like in sewing.

Btw, does your clasp come with a string to stuff inside the clasp?

There are a few different types. Some are cheaper and comes with holes?

I have even contemplated buying cheap clasp bags and taking it apart for the clasp... has anyone done this before? Is it possible?
