I made mine out of black silk. Check it.

Thanks for the awesome tute!

Absolutely loving this thread. Have now read through the entire thread and seen everyone'spics <3.

Planning on altering the pattern somewhat to replace anold corset of mine. One of my underbust corsets has been "loved a little too much" and thereare bones sticking out, so I want to use those bones to make me a new corset (and I'm far too paranoid to cut up my old corset to get thepattern in case I screw it up and don't even have my "overly loved" broken down old corset anymore XD

Does the finished corset then consist of only four panels? Or are there eight?

You're tremendous for making an easy tute like this.  It gave me corset-making confidence! I made a black one and a red one... but the black didnt photograph well.

and back:

I was sewing on hook'n'eyes at the boyf's and thought I had brought enough ribbon to lace it up when I was done.. shows what I know.  Anyway, I couldnt wait to take photos until I had proper photos... so, sorry.
On the black one I finished the bottom edge with black ribbon, but on this red.. I sort of dig the raw edge.

Thank you again for the tute!

I used this tute and finally made a corset!! So excited! I made it a bit long so I could cover up part of my chestyness. The next one will be shorter and an actual underbust in my favorite cotton material. More for everyday wear. Thanks so much for the tute. It really helped me get over the fear of screwing it up!
Take a look!

I'm probably being such an idiot, apologies... but just to clarify

Does this picture represent just one half of the full corset?! Just to be sure!

Yes, that picture represents one "stay" or one half of the corset.

Cheesy So do I sew The shapes that appear more to the front to the one that are more to the back to create the pockets for boning? I guess not, because i cant see how you'd turn it inside out then.
