Hi all! After getting frustrated today because I couldn't find the phone number for one of my daughter's specialists AND I couldn't find anywhere to write down her apointment time, I decided to do something about it. I reconed this ugly notebook/journal thing my MIL gave me with some awesome papers and added a sweet little turtle, my daughter's initial and some ric rac to the back. Inside, I added a little fold out place to store the business cards we get from her doctors and therapists (PT, OT, etc) in the front and two little library pockets in the back for misc stuff. (They're being held open with fake credit cards while the glue dries.) I'm planning on finding a little calander and putting it in the front, too.
I don't have any before pics, but trust me, it was ugly. Here's the after:

What do you think?  Smiley

That's awesome!
For a little calender you could use one of those mini calenders that places like car insurance companies give out as freebies. Just hack off the logo and glue it in there  Smiley
I need to make one of these for my hubby, he's so bad about keeping his medical stuff in order and sadly he has quite a bit of it.

That was my plan. I swear I had a bunch of them sitting around, but now I can't find them (now that I want/need them) I'll have to schmooze up some insurance agaent now, I guess  Roll Eyes Oh, and I also added little tabs to divide the different sections. The nurse at the pedatrician even mentioned today that it was pretty darn cute.  Grin

That is a totally awsome idea, i think i might pinch it if you dont mind? keeping track of specialists is a nightmare. i would also get my drs to write someting inspiring in the back so when i have a 'low' day i can read them!  Smiley Hugs to your daughter.

Thanks! Go right ahead. It was a lifesaver last week when I lost my "brain" (I am like the last person on earth who doesn't own a Palm or a blackberry, mostly because I lose things too easily) notebook. I had everything writen down still, so I felt semi-clever.  Wink
