Personal Swaps: I am looking for wool yarn for crocheting and felting. Want to swap?

What about Crawford County?  Since our local quilt shop folded, I think we're down to the various Wal Marts, the new yarn store, and several screen-print shops that'll sell you the blank shirts, but not the other supplies.  Hrmmm.  No, wait, there's also a new art-supply store.  Big Lots often has yarn and beads.  I saw pretty glass beads today, but only eyelash yarn.  Sad
I need more crafty goodness!  (Without driving to Missouri!)

Would love to swap, but must admit I'm a little flakey!

Hey there!  I meant to reply to this a long time ago but I forgot-probably bc I was too busy making STUFF.
I'm in Lawrence.
I have questions.  First, anyone interested in going in on a booth for the Arts and Crafts Fest in September?  Or any other shows?  I've got an EZ up, a couple of racks and a lone table.  I sell all kinds of stuff but it isn't enough to fill up a whole booth.  It worked out really well when I went in with a friend from KC but she's too busy to do the shows anymore.  Maybe there might be a few of us to go in on it?  The more the merrier I think.
Second question.  Has anyone heard about Hobby Lobby contributing to Fred Phelps church?  My daughter heard something about this and I'm trying to get some more info on this before I boycott Hobby Lobby, as that would be physically painful.  I know they are closed on Sundays because they want their employees to be able to go to church, so they're obviously religious.  Ok, fine.  BUT if they're wacky enough to be contributing to or in cahoots with that nutbag, uh, sorry, I can't shop there.  I hope this is just a nasty rumor.  Someone say it isn't so...

I certainly hope not, but I can tell you when I lived close to Topeka I was surprised how many people supported them.  Is there a way to ask the snopes site a question so we could find out?

I can't find anything about it.  Actually, I found an article that said that they don't accept contributions from outsiders.  Hopefully there isn't anything to this, but I just want to be sure, you know?  Like you said, it is surprising how many people support them.  So I'll keep looking...

Hello!

<--Manhattan Crafter  Smiley

Me too!  I like the Grand Ol' Trunk also, but have found other thrift stores are kinda lacking on craft supplies.  Do you have any suggestions for the Manhattan/Junction City area?
