Still waiting for my yarn to arrive...

But look what Marc Jacobs put in his Fall 06 runway show -- it looks kinda familiar:



The sleeves here are neat, but not worth turning the easy raglan yoke into a seamed beast.

What a BEAUTIFUL sweater! I love your color choice as well. I'm seeing lots of violet/plum/eggplant colors this year. Yay! It's a great color choice.
