I've seen one of these in person... I'm still amazed that it's done by tapping it with a spoon! Really cool!

I've made two of them now, and I am wearing one right now, and I am still amazed that it is made from a coin. I love it, and all of my friends want one now.

Excuse my ignorance (being a Brit) but are the older dollers still in circulation?  I have been looking on eBay and for a 1952 half dollar it was 4! which by the latest exchange rate is a rip off haha

I might ask my swap partner to pop one in my swap Smiley hehe...cheeky I know  Wink

i don't think there are very many in circulation anymore, as they have a higher silver count and people collect them.  however that price does seem quite high.

People collect those silver coins. I know mom would kill me if I tried to get one from her.

I need to do this though....it would be great to have these for my husband and me.

This is really cool. I made one myself out of a regular quarter. It fits my pinky, so I gave it to my Boyfriend. He wears it on his pinky.

Since the quarter is copper and silver it has a copper stripe with silver edgeing.

I am searching for a 50 cent piece, but so far have only found a Canadian quarter, Im gonna try that and see how it looks. I dont know what its made from though...

Way cool!
