how_german, that's what mine look like too (minus the sweet patches). i don't have enough patience to have my hand crammed up in the toe to sew up the holes. Grin

That's actually the second set of patches I've had to put on the shoes--I refuse to throw 'em away! I'll get a new pair when they actually disintegrate and all that's left is a dirty rubber sole. Wink

WOW!  That's a really simple but really awesome way to freshen up some old shoes. 

I need to shoe glue my old red vans, but maybe some sparkle will help out, too!

Last year for my birthday I asked for some awesome No Sweat "converse". They lasted me for more than a year, but I had to get a new pair. I was thinking about putting patches on, but never did. But what's funny, is that one shoe looks really bad, and the other looks a little damaged. I'm saving that one incase the same thing happens again this year.  Grin
