Beloit/Janesville?

Anyone know of some crafty or thrift stores in the Beloit and/or Janesville area?

There's a bead store and a yarn store in Janesville.  They're in the same building at 1327 N. Wright road.  Pretty neat, though small.  There's a Michaels in Janesville next to the Best Buy, and a Joanne's in Beloit next to ShopKo.  If you want to drive a bit there's a Hobby Lobby  in Rockford, IL.  As for places to buy already made stuff, pretty much the only place I know of is ABBA in downtown Beloit.  Of course, there could be more, but I just go to Beloit college and that's the place I'm familiar with.

Hancock's going out of business, and I think they still have a bit left for 50-75% off.  Ben Franklin on the South Side is also closing, they're still at the 20-30% off mark.

as already mentioned, Michael's in JVL, Meant to Bead/Dragonfly yarn in JVL.

Also for craft materials:

Joann's in JVL (by the office max off Milton & Mt. Zion)
Joann's in Beloit (off Prairie)
Attic Quilts & yarn in Beloit (on 3rd? right off the main strip by Kerry)
Material Girls Quilts in JVL (on the main S of Centerway)
oh and the stained glass place on the W bound one-way street out of downtown JVL.

Plus everything in Rockford (joann's, hancocks, hobby lobby and several indie shops for fabric & yarn)

For thrifting:
Salvation Army
Goodwill
St. Vincent DePaul (all in Beloit)

There's another thrift shop on Milton as you're heading N out of the downtown in JVL

Plus the antique places in S. Beloit off 75 & Carousel Consignments on Main in JVL

Phew! That should keep anyone going for a while.

I myself love to go to the goodwill in Janesville. They have some awesome stuff there. I don't know much about Janesville but I do know Beloit as I live here lol. There is the Salvation Army, Goodwill, Upscale Retail (in the strip mall with Shopko) and St. Vincent De Paul (downtown on 4th street). If I have forgotten any I will reply again. Lemme know what you come up with!

Janesville:  Goodwill by the mall, Michaels by BestBuy

Castaways (great prices but not  a huge selection)
Repeat Retreat (my favorite, nice selection and great prices)
The mission (it's ok)
Carousel Consignments (if you search you can get a few good deals .. but she tends to price things high)
What knots and finer things (not a great selection, but the prices are ok)
The Promenade (I haven't been there yet)
and a couple more downtown that I have been too ... but these are all in Janesville.

There is also the Hobby Lobby now.
