I'm interested in personal swaps -- I love bracelets & necklaces and I don't know how to make them.

Wonderful fabric and nice trim! Do you use interfacing?  I made one of these for a swap and swore never to do it again as I could not sew through all the layers without lots of difficulty! The credit card part was the worse because it had so many layers to stitch through...should I leave out the interfacing? Yours is so nicely done!

Thanks for the nice words everyone!! Cheesy

alwaysinmyroom -- I do use interfacing...usual ly the heavier on the "outside" fabric and then the lighter interfacing on the inner wallet and the pocket pieces.  But it IS difficult to stitch! Angry
Sometimes it helps to "grade" the layers (trim them) so there aren't quite so many layers to sew through.  I've also found that leaving the "hole" larger (to turn everything back through) helps alot. And then I just topstitch SLOWLY at the end so I don't sew TOO crooked-ly (is that even a word?!? Huh)  Hope this helps you!!   Grin

Thanks--it helps to know it is not just me!!  I have done all of those things already, so I am guessing that it is always going to be tough--I am making bunches for the Sweat Shoppe Swap--small sizes, so I am going to try lighter interfacing on all parts--ugh, the thought of topstitching them all makes me wish I didn't make pouches, ha ha!!

I think yours is the first one I have seen with that nice band!!

Thanks again for the support--appreciate it and the advice!!
