I don't understand why, cause t hat flavor is not worth savoring. Yuck! And they last for a million years. If the world were attacked by aliens the only things to survive would be cockroaches and twinkies.

...are you telling me that americans dont have coffee crisp, aero, or caramilk bars? wow. my three favorites. (how did i get by when i was young and living in the states?)
im pretty sure that pal-o-mine bars are unique to canada, and that pineapple crush (soft drink) is unique to atlantic canada. purdy's chocolates is canadian, i think theyre probably available in the us, but i dont think in europe (i could be wrong)

ETA: i do believe that ro*tel (salsa) is an american product not availiable in canada (boy do i miss that stuff)

I know. Those are my coffee crisp/aero/twix are my favourites, so not having 2 would kill me! Ha. Although I'm wondering... do you live in Atlantic Canada then? I'm Canadian, but I don't know the pal-o-mine, Purdy's, OR Pineapple Crush! I wonder if they're Atlantic-only.... (I also thought Ro-Tel was cheesy... I hear people in books mention it... haha. Thanks for the enlightenment Wink )

people often mix ro-tel [which is actually not salsa, it's seasoned canned tomatoes] into melted velveeta cheese. And depending on where you are, sometimes you can find aero bars in the states. I can't get them in Oregon but I could get them in North Dakota.

yeah, atlantic canada here. pineapple crush is definately an atlantic thing, though i heard about pal-o-mines when i was in ottawa i think. they were all the rage when my dad was young, something like that. purdy's is a west coast thing (alberta and bc), though im sure theres a store or two in ontario by now. theyre my favorite chocolates  Smiley

ahh, yes, my bad. its not salsa. thats why it doesnt taste the same when you try to mix salsa in with velveeta.

Speaking of more regional items I miss Vico.  I know it is just Chocolate milk but until I moved to Alberta that is all I called it.   But there is a trade off.  Bernard Callubeau chocolate, that stuff is amazing.
