I'm really pleased with the way this turned out.  It really didn't felt up as much as I would have liked, but after about an hour in the washer I said screw it.  I ended up using a suede-like purple lining to firm it up some.  I unintentionally modified the pattern.  The handle part was supposed to be worked in the round, which would have made it stockinette - I didn't read that part and worked it back and forth - which made it garter.  Oh well, I'm still happy with it and hope my sis will like it.  I can't remember the colorway I used.  It took 3 skeins.  1 for the handle.  1 for the front and 1 for the back.

That bag is so nice!  I have my first skeins of noro waiting to be knit up into something.  It's such nice yarn!  I love the colorway you chose.

It's really a beautiful bag.  I've always wanted to knit with Noro I'm looking into a Poncho that uses Iro but I live in a tropical locale and it sounds like it might have too much Wool.  I guess this has been keeping me from checking out Noro Yarns.

I gave it a mag snap closure instead of a button and like a said knit garter instead of stockinette by accident.

LOL, I actually have not been knitting that long.  This was my first time working with Noro and I had gotten 3 lonely sks on sale at my LYS for $6 each so I just had to get them.  I have to say in all honesty that the only thing I enjoyed about working with this yarn was the color.  I cannot imagine wearing it against my skin - it is really rough.  I had to spit-felt it a few times as it just pulled apart while I was working with it.  And, it had on average 2 knots per skein.  So, eh, it's really overrated in my opinion.  But, the colors are to die for.

I'm kinda on a SWTC Karaoke kick and like working with that much better.  It's much softer.
