  I haven't been to the other site for awhile and when I saw that there was messages I went to look, as soon as I went there the picture popped up  . even the messages surprised me for I haven't posted on that site...

  Looks like they or it has a case of boredum sp? on there hands (maybe they should take up crafting)

I was really curious about this too so I asked around. Apparently it's a universal problem for popular messageboards.
I guess the porn industry is rather cut-throat and will do anything to get more traffic to their website. (Then again when you're exploiting women for a little cash, who's surprised... uh, but that's a different rant.) They have sneaky little robots that are getting smarter and smarter when they can automatically make usernames on those popular messageboards that sort of relate to that particular messageboard and can blend in with the rest of the users like "jessicacraftster" did.
If that porn website has more links to it's self on the rest of the internet like pictures then apparently it will be bumped up on a Google search closer to the top, getting more people to visit their websites. So I guess it's nothing personal to Craftster, they're not setting out to sabotage our wonderful little community we have with random dirty pictures. It still is rather horrible when unsuspecting parents check their messages with children in the room.
So yeah, I think you're right on when you said they need to take up crafting. Idle hands are the Devil's tools...
I can't remember... does Craftster have one of those things when you sign up where you have to type in text you see in an image? Do you know what I'm talking about? One of these things?

Yeah, it seems to be common thing on message boards... I'm also member of Sergio Leone Web Board (board with completelly different subject than this one) and same things happened there. Probably no board can be safe, if it doesn't have great moderators (whom the two I'm in fortunatelly have. )
And it's a good idea about the pictures with letters, is it possible on message boards?

I don't think Craftster has the verification code.  I don't think it would help though as this member seems to be a real person & not a bot.

Could posting pictures become a bit like swapping with both a post limit and a time set?  Like, you have to be a member for a week or two?  And legit people could just post links to the pics and ask a mod to change them out, so it wouldn't really hurt ordinary newbies.  So people couldn't just make an account, post "wow" x # of times, and then post porn.
