My son turned 4 on Sunday - about a week ago I asked him what he would like for his birthday - he told me funny monsters - so that is what I made him - he loves them already - although he hasn't named them yet - he will though - once he figures out their personalities (he has a stuffed dog he named Blackie - who is a Blackhound - not a greyhound - and Blackie is a very shy dog.....

Anyhoooooo.
Here are my monsters - and the happy owner of them - simple monsters whipped up while he was sleeping...

Those are so cool! I love the antennae - are they just held up by the stuffing? Did you use a pattern or make them up yourself?

I didn't use a pattern - just winged it.  The one eye guy I had started to write down what I was doing - but then got disinterested in holding onto the pattern - it was a simple enough design if I had to recreate it.
The antenna only have stuffing in the top part - they were actually made for a different stuffed creature I had started - I kind of frankencreated him - the triangle on his chest was going to be a snaggle tooth per hubbys request but I didn't like the way it looked so it became chest adornment - the black dot under the triangle was going to be an eye but didn't like it so it became another adornment - and he even has a tail in the back - that was going to be a mouth for the blue/green one eyed guy - but it got reallocated to the brick red dude.

Frankenmonster.
He already wants more monsters - but now I have to focus on work projects!

Wow, the blue-green one really caught my eye ( Grin)!  That's great for wingin' it-I think a monster tutorial would be really popular on craftster.  Great job!

Hi Deb!

Those are totally adorable (so is your son!).  You can tell from the pic that he really loves them.  You're a great mom!!
