Ohhhhhh I just LOVE the idea of a winged hoodie- -I'm no final fantasy fan but I could definitely see myself making this, y'know, when I graduate from shawls n scarves Tongue

Love it! I've been wanting to make a game replica but I haven't found the right yarn yet. Sooo pretty!

Gorgeous! The wings break up the solid color a bit, which is great!

I have to ask: What kind of yarn did you use? And were you on gauge for the original pattern?

I've been looking everywhere for some soft yarn that actually has a good color to it... but the only thing I came up with was knitting double ply in peruvian cashmere- which would be kind of expensive, for one, and doesn't match the gauge. I don't have a LYS, so I'm a bit restricted to online yarn, and that's kind of hard to work with when I don't know of many decent (low-cost) online suppliers.

I just used Caron Simply Soft, which they sell at Walmart. That's my LYS because I live in the middle of nowhere. I'm pretty sure I was on gauge, too, because it was supposed to be worsted weight yarn. It took close to two skeins of the red and a little bit of the off-white that I had left over from another project.
