I don't have an etsy account but there is a seperate section where you can put your shipping fees. It shows up under the price of the item and it's labeled shipping.

Shipping is charged for separately, although most likely some people offer free shipping and just make sure to include that in the cost of the item in one way or another.

exactly you pay for it one way or another
here is my way of pricing for shipping
what it cost to ship of course its a guess because you dont know where you are shipping to but anyways. then you have to remember that you have to add in the container(what you ship it in) be it a envelope with bubble wrap and just a sticker, or a box with bubble wrap in it to protect your item
or else that will come out of your  profit

just food for thought

if it's something that can go into a bubblewrap envelope, then i would just add another dollar or so to you item's price and say "free shipping". for example, if it can fit into a small one, and is very lightweight, it costs about that,$1, for the envelope and shipping.

i sell art prints on Etsy and i just charge $2 for shipping which covers all of my shipping costs including packaging, post office, and even most of my Etsy fees.

i only put the actual cost of shipping and delivery confirmation. i would figure in the cost of packing materials into the price. people don't like to have to add more to their cost and would be detered by high shipping...i actually got a lot of feedback on this as i was shipping priority when i could have used first class for domestic. just a thought.
