ART SEARCH:  I'm looking for high-quality decorative papers and teach-yourself-silk-screen supplies.  So far I've only seen Michaels and I'm not too impressed. Where do you go to find your goods?

SEWING SEARCH:  I'm also toying with the idea of signing up for sewing lessons/classes somewhere.  Anyone here know of a place or a group that wants to meet up and do this?  If there isn't an offical location, I'd be happy to host a craftster group for sewing tutorials.

Whoa - I didn't know this board existed before now! So, I don't know if I'm too late to be of any help, but I thought I'd share anyway.

Regarding your art search, I'd check out Hollo's Paper Craft. It's waaaaay the eff out in Brunswick, but if you're into paper, it's like a grown-up's candy store. They sell 8.5" x 11" paper by the pound there, and have a lot of stuff to choose from. They sell stationary-type papers, but also have a very nice, large selection of handmade papers which are gorgeous! They are on Pearl Rd (Rt. 42)  just a few blocks south of Rt. 303. It's a schlep (for me at least), but it's fun!

Pryzm in Lyndhurst has a decent selection of decorative papers (go to the back of the store). In my opinion, Pryzm is the best art supply place in town. Have fun!

LOVE Hollos. I can wander that place for hours! It;s an hour away from me, but TOTALLY worth the drive!
