So you're not melting, even outside, because of the baby, right?

Yeah, I've quit cold turkey! Cheesy  I might be okay to do it outside, but I'd still have to be somewhere near the BBQ to check on it and I don't want to chance it.

Oh gosh.. melting beads and lolcats!

Here's a tip on grilling at low temps or even temps.... when the briquets are going, spread them around into a thin-ish layer on the outside of the grill, donut style, so there are not coals in the center of the grill/grate. That will help the BBQ stay at a low(er) even temp!

what about the kind of grill with the disposable metal parts inside, and the refillable propane(?) tank to run it?

would i be able to control the temperature by the level of gas coming out, or something?

Oh yea! A gas grill is waaaayyy easy to control! It should have a dial somewhere just like your kitchen stove does! Sometimes it is the gas shut off valve (looks kinda like an outdoor water faucet handle) near the tank, if it is a bit more 'delux' it should have a dial with low to high range on it!

Would somebody be willing to help a new member regarding melting on an outdoor grill?  I've never done it, but I've read random tips along the way.  Perhaps someone could post to her?  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=242338.0
