Hi Everyone, here is another tote that I made with a young family friend of mines she wanted to learn how to sew, so we made a basic tote.  She sewed the sides up, I did everything else, but I know she had a blast.

i'd been wanting to start using ribbon as straps for bags but i wasn't sure about sturdiness...have you found that it holds up well?

btw, it's a very cute tote Smiley

That is so cute!  I almost bought that fabric at Joann's yesterday but I put it back.  Now I wish I had bought some.  You did a great job.

I'm interested in personal swaps -- I love bracelets & necklaces and I don't know how to make them.

The straps have held up very well, I told the little girl not to put too much in the tote though, lol!!! I didn't reinforce the straps, cause basically it was my first time using ribbon as a strap, do you think a light weight sew on interfacing would work?  Thanks for the compliments everyone
