i discovered anthropologie.com today.
and promptly proceeded to gank one of their designs.
this is the original gypsophila(such a cool word) dress
i made mine out of a teal/black silk and a sheer black fabric for the tie. it hits right below the knee. there is an invisible zipper in the back that turned out to be not so invisible because i didn't have the right foot or something? oh well, it's not that noticable.
and here are the pictures.

badabam. i'll be happy to answer any questions about how i made it, or make a tute if enough people want one =)

ok here's the tute!

wow i love it! i really need better a fabric supply.  ahh i hope more people comment and want a tute like i do!  i love anthropologie--too bad i'm very very poor.  on anthropologie.com they have shoes! but when i go to the stores they don't, that makes me sad.  your dress looks just like the anthropologie one! amazing.

words are flying out like endless rain into a paper cup....

oh wow, it's gorgeous!  I agree, so much better than the original, and the colours are lovely -- it looks awesome on you!

I would love a tutorial too, if you've got time/inclination.

Nice job!
