here is my chest plate that i'm working on. due to my lack of finances, i'm getting done in three bits. this pic was taken after the second bit. i'm hoping to finish it in january by getting a skeleton key in the middle and tying it all together a bit more. the spider needs more red around it. i drew the design myself. i've been trying hard as hell to get an apprenticeship, but i can't seem to get on at a decent shop. had one at a bad shop for a while, but couldn't stand it anymore and had to quit. anywho, here's the pic.

lemme know what you think!

not really. i've always loved swallow tattoos but i hate cliche. i just wanted a different spin on lovebird chest tat. i'm glad i'm not looking for a boyf. the lovebird caught in a black widow's web could be taken as some sort of warning!

I really want two swallows right under my butt cheeks. Sort of like stocking seam toppers but no stocking seams.

RaeAmazon that is so beautiful.  The color choice with the style is awesome.

Thanks!  Smiley  I wanted something kind of traditional stylistically.  Really happy with how it came out!  Oh, and I forgot to say what "ecrivain" means just in case people don't know.  French for "writer."  Smiley

here are some crappy camera-phone pictures of my new chest piece. it's so beautiful in real life, these pictures don't capture the detail and shading very well, but my camera phone is acting up and won't upload pictures to my computer so they'll have to do.

i get to go in in a week or so and get the color done. i'm so excited!

i have a tattoo on my back as well, but i'm not really that fond of it and i plan to get it covered up.

All right... its been about 11 days since i got my first tattoo and the scabbing/flaking has pretty much gone away. i've been wanting to post pics sooner but wanted to wait until it looked better. Ryan at the Dutchman tattoo shop (Burnaby, BC) did the work and it took about 2 1/2 hours. i knew a tattoo would hurt but this was waaaaaay worse then i ever expected!! i think i did pretty good though... no crying or moving around too much.  Wink

gaah, i want another one already!!!!

tattoo, day 11 (today):

Sorry for all the pics... i just love it so much! Grin
