Ooooh how pretty! And scary, that R also modeled for my R...!

oh awesome! i saw another girl a few weeks ago at target. she had kind of a gothic looking "R" on her wrist. it looked so good i was jealous. i'm really happy with the location of mine though. i like how yours blends in with your other lines!

Oh!  Very cool.

I've toyed with the idea of getting my cursive initial "E" on my left chest, but then decided against it, because I don't know how I feel about having my own itital tattooed.  I was anticipating questions like, "what, you can't remember your own name/initials?"

What do you all think?

i got my "R" on the left side of my body because where it's located is closest to my heart. cheesy yes. but my husband means the world to me. i wouldn't get my own initial...unless it was my last name--maiden or mrs., which would either stand for my family (if i wasn't married), or the tie between my husband and i (if i were married). if that makes sense.

Pretty much what I came up with too.

I also thought about my middle initial.  My middle name is special to me since it's my mothers maiden name, and she had no brother's, so I feel special to have it.  Only problem with that is the initial is an "L", so I'll look like I'm always wearing a Laverne sweater! hahahah (laverne and shirly)

oh i dont think so. i actually think an "L" is a great letter. it's really pretty in cursive. i dont think i would have gotten a letter tattoo at all if i hadn't thought the actually letter was graphically pleasing...but that's me.

yesterday was my first sitting for my half sleeve.  It is funny how I don't flinch through being tattooed at all, but that first night and the next day I feel liike a big ol' whiney baby.

These pics were taken last night about 5hrs after the appt, so they are pretty shiney.  My appt was 3hrs long and I am looking at about 4.5hrs more work on this baby, including the background (we have been talking about that...still not 100% sure what we are going with...I have left the background mostly up to him, as he is better at figuring that out).  I am REALLY happy with how he is turning out so far...even though there is an itty bitty spot that still needs some blue  Cheesy Cheesy

ignore the fact that my husband cut off his head...he just kept muttering "i didn't expect it to be so BIG" ah hon...what don't you understand about half sleeve?  Grin Cheesy Roll Eyes

me too Smiley  I am still having some insecurities, but I knew that that would happen.  It isn't that *I* don't love it, but the OMG what are the rest of the soccer moms going to think, and the fat arm thing.  But the fat arm thing was there without the tattoo as well, and now I have a fat arm with a BEAUTIFUL tattoo on it Smiley

I can't wait to finish this baby.  I easily could have done the whole thing in one sitting, but my artist seems to prefer doing only 3hrs at a time.  Fair enough.  I wouldn't want to hunch over like that for 7.5hrs either.
