On the subject of pain... my artist, a guy, is sure that women can take pain much better than any man could.  Once when he was working on my arm, these two "tough guys" came in and watched for a bit.  One guy said he wanted something done, and asked if his arm could be numbed first.  My artist tried to tell him, as nicely as he could, that it wasn't a good idea and hindered healing anyway.  And that if you want a tattoo, you have to earn it.

We had a good laugh after they left.

Ok, lets see if I can get this right.  This is a really crappy picture, the tat is soo much prettier.  My brother's girlfriend just opened up a Tattoo shop/Art Gallery and this is my first from her.

Ok, here is a better pic of the tat, although it does seem to make my stretchmarks shine.
Don't mind the panty's either Smiley

Also, our paper did a photo spread on this artist and took all kinds of pics while I was getting inked.  Heres the link to the article, and on the bottom right hand side there is a photo slide show, my pic is the last one.  http://cjonline.com/stories/032005/mid_tatoo.shtml

Here is a link to the second part of the series, you can really see some of her work here  http://cjonline.com/stories/032705/mid_tattoo.shtml

Alright here are mine:

Keith Haring tattoos, I'm planning on turning these into sleeves. Oh, there's one on each arm.

My knitter. She lives on the inside of my left ankle.

My 1984 tattoo. It says "War is peace, slavery is freedom, ignorance is strength." It's on the left side of my chest, above my boob a little bit.

My butterfly on my belly.

My fish on my left shoulder blade.

My first tattoo. I got it done in Limerick, Ireland when I was 16. It looks really bad but I love it.

My second tattoo. I hate it and am going to cover it with a huge Harry Potter tattoo. Everyone always asks if this is a sore. Ugh.

Please excuse the crappy pics.
