i only have one at the moment, it on my ankle and represents my birth sign. (scorpio) it was done by a most awesome woman who had sea themed sleeves and socks(?) I was 18 when it was done and i don't regret it at all.
dont mind my broken stool and weird angle, its difficult to tke a good photo of your own ankle Grin

done at Skin Ink (formally known as Lord of the rings) in Mornington Australia.

i have wanted to get another one for some years now, but  i just don't have the money!
When people ask me to describe what it felt like i would describe it as if someone was holding a buzzing bee up to your skin. with the pain of getting scratched with fingernails. It seems about accurate to me.

magick8ball, i looooove yours...  i plan on getting a sparrow and a ball of yarn, so something like that would be just up my alley.  i've never seen anything like that, it's really pretty. Cheesy  will you get it colored?

Soon!!! We're still sorting out the details and logistics, but soon. The yarn will be pink, but that's all I know right now.

I just spent an hour reading through all these posts.... all I can say is WOW.  Amazing talent out there.  Ellebee, your Lady of Guadalupe is so gorgeous!

My brother, Freddy Payne at Universal Tattoo is a fantastic tattoo artist, and gave me this Sacred Heart tattoo as a sweet gift:

It's on my right wrist, and it's my first and only (so far.)  I got it about 10 months ago, and the color is still bright.  Most people can't believe it's as old as it is.  It is also supposed to have a complimenting heart to go on my left wrist, which will be the Immaculate Heart of Mary, surrounded by roses and pierced with a sword, but now I'm pregnant and can't have it done yet.  It's pretty cool having an artist in the family... he offers them as Christmas gifts. Wink

Wow.  I am still amazed!  I have decided to get a tattoo done this summer of my cat.  She's close to 17 years old and has been with me for over 1/2 my life (I'll be 32 soon).  She's been with me through the bests and worst times of my life, and through the death of my mother.  She's been my best friend and like a sister to me.

When I get that done, I'll have my ying-yang on my left ankle touched up and get a spot that no longer tans on my leg filled in to look like a mole.

Yay! New Ink! Definitely my most meaningfull tattoo so far. It's of my beautiful little Victors handprint from when he was a month old.

Great tattoo idea!  I love it.  Very original a supper cool.  How did you transfer your son's handprint from him to your skin?  Carbon paper?  It looks like your have some other ink on your arm...dates maybe?  I am so curious.
