I'm thinking of becoming a tattoo artist...as soon as I find out some good shops here I'm going to go down and see about getting an apprenticeship. Uh...though the fact that I don't have any yet is definitely going to be brought up a lot. Hey, I have two that I'm trying to really perfect before I decide to get them, so it's really just an issue of me being indecisive on the final design.

But until then, I'm just going to say that everyone has gotten very lovely and creative tattoos!

I had to delete some discussion about tattoo apprenticeship that is off topic for craftster. Better sources of this kind of information can be found on websites focused on body modification, like bmezine.com, rather than craftster. Thanks for understanding!

Hey, I just found this thread, soooo inspirational! I got my first tattoo about a month ago, for my bday. I was kind of inspired by Kat Von D's stars on her face, except I'm not that badass, so I got some on my foot Smiley

Sorry for the missing ankle, childhood accident Smiley

I really like the simplicity of those stars.  Although I am un-inked, I LOVE looking at tattoos and watching Miami Ink because I see it as an artform.  I'm too wishy-washy to get one myself, so I think you all are uber-brave!

Now I am curious as to how you "lost" your ankle......

My first tattoo, which I got four years ago:

I may do more stuff with it, but I haven't decided quite what yet. I got it at a convention, which in retrospect might not have been the greatest idea.

This one I started last spring, and did the lower half this spring.

Here's my new baby. Well, I got it in April in Germany. In real life it's not that "furry" looking! HAHA! Nor do the stars curve in real life! My best friend and I got it, the stars represent all of the plays we have done together!

I also got my hubbys name on my wrist, which is uber hard to take a picture of by the way! It means a lot more now that he is deployed.  Cry
Thanks for looking!

WOW!  Everyone has really nice ink.

Here's mine that actually took about a year to finish because I'm a big baby.  The top part is my daughters name in this sorda "graffitti style" and then some flowers and butterflies and an itty bitty ladybug.  Underneath is my oldest daughters name is the same "graffitti style".

I absolutely LOVE my tattoo and get mixed responses from it.  Especially from my family.  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes
