I just got this yesterday with one of my best friends right after she graduated in Santa Cruz.  It's GIR from Invader Zim which we have had an unhealthy obsession with for a really long time.
It's placed right next to my hipbone on the front below my belly. I don't have any pics to show placement yet.

Ah, I love GIR!  How big is your tattoo?
about an inch tall. he's my favorite

I got it done at Lovedog.

ok, this is my first tattoo. had it done last november in vienna.
it says "love will tear us apart", and it means a lot to me, because it reminds me of my former boyfriend, who died more than 2 years ago. it was our song, kind of...
it's on my lower back, and as broad as my back is.
i've seen another "love will tear us apart" tattoo back in the other thread, that i found just stunning, too. i found it quite funny seeing someones ink of the same quote.

sorry for the crappy pic...
i'm currently drawing on 2 more... but i'm not sure where to place them...

This is my first and only tat as of right now, but I've designed several more I plan to get done. This one, I also drew up myself... it was made for my son...

Unfortunately, it's extremely blurry, and I couldn't get a better shot... but what it says, if you can't make it out, is:

               R.I.P.
               Adam
1-09-01 My Angel 1-10-01

It has a sort of tribal heart around the name, teal wings, and a small rose beneath it all. Adam was my oldest son Zachary's twin brother.

Gosh, do we not have Craftster pic hosting anymore? I can't find it..I guess I missed the memo, I haven't been around much. Anyway..I got my first tattoo a week ago. I've been wanting it for a long time. It's an oak tree--the artist was at Time Bomb in Batavia NY. He designed it for me based on my vague hand gestures and did an Amazing job. The detail is intense..I just can't take a picture of my own back. It's three inches tall and it's in the standard right above the bum spot...I teach and it had to be somewhere it wouldn't show in interviews.

Meaning: My life is a tree. The wind blows me around but my roots are deep, and I get stronger as I get older.

Her dirty paws and furry coat,
She ran down the forest slope.
The forest of talking trees,
They used to sing about the birds and the bees.
The bees had declared a war,
The sky wasn't big enough for them all.

I really like everyones tattoos on here. I've been looking at everyones ideas forever. It's inspired me to come up with my own creative idea. I'll get it done as soon as a find a good tattoo parlor though. Smiley

I have two tattoos. One I got young done by my cousin that I regret and plan on having covered up. But the one I like is this one...
http://www.mindygriffith.com/Calvin.JPG

It's Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes. He is jumping out of his skin and is about to scare his mother. It's sort of a reminder to me to not lose my imagination and not to grow up all the way.

*I found the comic strip*
